Your son or daughter is putting the hours in. They sit at the desk, they make the notes, they highlight everything. But when the test comes back the grade doesn't match the effort, and with mocks straight after half-term, that's a horrible place to be.

MOCKS ARE ROUND THE CORNER...

THEY'RE WORKING HARD. SO WHY AREN'T THE MARKS MOVING?

(and what can you do about it this half-term!?!?)

Most of the time it isn't the physics. It's three things nobody ever sat down and showed them: how to revise so it actually sticks, how to set out the maths and practical questions so every available mark gets picked up, and how to write the answers the mark scheme actually rewards.

Schools know it matters but run out of time to teach it. Tutors focus on content. Revision guides cover the physics but not how to get it onto the page. So pupils walk into the exam knowing more than their grade shows (because nobody ever showed them the system!).

THIS IS WHAT MY OCTOBER MASTERCLASSES FIX

OCTOBER HALF-TERM MASTERCLASSES

Five live classes, one week

Five live classes on Zoom, Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October. Each one takes a part of the exam where pupils lose the most marks, gives them a system for it, and practises it live on real exam questions.

There's a live chat so they can ask questions throughout, with no cameras and no being put on the spot. Every class is recorded, so they can rewatch any part as many times as they need before the mocks.

WHAT THEY'LL LEAVE WITH

1)

A way of revising that actually works

How to Revise for GCSE Science, Mon 26 Oct, 9:30 to 10:30am

Hours of rereading and highlighting feel productive and change almost nothing. They'll learn the three things to do before they open a revision guide, how to revise recall, maths and application questions differently, how to use AI without it doing the thinking for them, and how to get ten times more out of every past paper.

2)

A system for every calculation

Maths for GCSE Physics: Part 1, Wed 28 Oct, 3:30 to 5pm

Most maths marks aren't lost on the physics. They're lost on the setup, the rearranging and the units. One six-step method that works on every calculation in forces, motion, momentum, waves, energy and radioactivity, plus exactly where the marks sit, so they still pick some up when they're stuck.

3)

A complete toolkit for practical questions

Practical Skills for GCSE Physics, Thu 29 Oct, 9:30 to 11am

Practical questions feel unpredictable, so pupils panic and write everything they can think of. They actually follow the same few patterns every year. They'll learn to spot which type they're facing and exactly what a full-mark answer looks like for each one.

4)

The same system for the hardest topics

Maths for GCSE Physics: Part 2, Fri 30 Oct, 9:30 to 11am

Electricity, magnetism, transformers, specific heat capacity and latent heat: the calculations that trip up even strong pupils. Same method, new topics, finishing with a 6-mark multi-step question pulled apart step by step.

5)

How to stop losing marks they've already earned

GCSE Science Exam Technique, Sat 31 Oct, 1:30 to 2:30pm

Command words, 6-mark answers, graphs, and calculations that fall apart halfway. This is where 'I knew that but wrote it wrong' happens. They'll learn where the marks leak and how to keep them.

WHAT PARENTS AND PUPILS HAVE SAID

Here's what parents and pupils have said about my previous masterclasses...

'She finds your style of teaching easy to understand and fun, but importantly full of tips, and it has given her a boost to her confidence, which was desperately needed.'

'I can definitely see her confidence going up already and she's troubleshooting her marks: more precision needed, more tailored vocab, attempt more complex questions. This is all technique and it's applicable across all subjects.'

'I was so happy to finally see some sensible guided advice around revision. Just knowing where to start (with the specs, who knew?!) is incredible! Why aren't we told any of this?!'

'Found it extremely useful. It was the right level. You may have swayed him choosing Physics for A-level.'

'All the tips you gave were extremely meticulous, unique and not the generalised advice I used to hear.'

'Clear, structured, specific sessions. He looked forward to them each day.'

'To have everything in one place is just a game changer. I just wish we had found it earlier.'

'You are a force.'

FAQS

What if my child can't attend live?

Every class is recorded and added to your class page within 24 hours, so they can rewatch any part whenever they need it.

Which exam boards is it for?

AQA, Edexcel and OCR GCSE, plus IGCSE, separate and combined. The methods work for every board, and the booklets use real questions from several.

Which year groups is it for?

Years 10 and 11. Year 11s get the most from it ahead of mocks.

Is it just physics?

How to Revise and Exam Technique work for all three sciences. The maths and practical classes are physics.

My child is already doing well. Will this still help?

Yes. Top grades are usually decided by the marks strong pupils drop on technique, not content, and that's exactly what these classes target.

My child lacks confidence. Will this be overwhelming?

No. Everything is broken into simple, repeatable steps, and knowing exactly what to do is what builds the confidence.

Will they be forced to participate?

No. Cameras are off and questions go in the chat, so nobody is put on the spot.

Is it too late to make a difference?

No. The half-term before mocks is the ideal time. Technique changes marks quickly, far faster than relearning content.

Should we book all five or just one?

Single classes are great for a specific weak spot. The bundle is the best value, and the classes build on each other.

Do I need anything?

The booklet (on the class page, printed or on screen), a pen, a calculator and a ruler.

FIVE CLASSES. ONE HALF-TERM. A CLEAR PLAN GOING INTO THE MOCKS.
