Follow The Science — Inner Circle Membership Last updated: August 2026
Â
These are the terms on which you join the Inner Circle. Please read them before you sign up — by joining, you agree to them.
Â
Â
Â
1. Who we are
Follow The Science is a sole trader business owned and run by Iz Clarke.
Â
-
Address: 30 Kensington Place BrightonÂ
-
Email: izclarke@followthescience.co.uk
-
Website: followthescience.co.uk
Â
Where these terms say "we" or "us", that means Follow The Science. "You" means the person who buys the membership.
Â
Â
Â
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover the Inner Circle monthly membership only. If you buy our other products separately — The Systems, or one-to-one tuition — those are sold under their own terms.
Â
Â
Â
3. What the membership includes
While your membership is active you get:
Â
-
A weekly live physicsÂ
-
A weekly drop-in physics clinic for questions
-
Recordings of the live sessions
-
Access to the resource library — notes, videos, worked solutions and practice questions
-
Included access to our holiday masterclasses — those released while you are a member, and recordings of previous years' series. You do not pay separately for these while your membership is active. (Non-members can buy masterclasses individually.)
Â
Sessions run in term time and follow a published timetable. We may change the timetable, and occasionally a session may move or be replaced by a recording — for example if Iz is ill. We will tell you as far in advance as we can.
Â
The membership covers AQA and Edexcel GCSE Physics. Please make sure you are buying for the right exam board and the right course — separate Physics and Combined Science are not the same syllabus. If you are unsure, email us before you join and we will help. If you do end up on the wrong one, see our Cancellation and Refund Policy — we will move you or refund you.
Â
Â
Â
4. Who can join
-
The membership is bought by a parent, guardian or carer aged 18 or over, who is the person entering into this contract with us.
-
The student it is for may use the account. A student aged 13 or over may hold their own login with their parent's agreement.
-
We do not create accounts for children under 13.
-
If you are a student aged 18 or over, you can buy for yourself.
Â
Â
Â
5. Price and payment
-
The membership is £120 per month. Members who join at the launch price pay £100 per month. Prices include any VAT that applies.
-
Payment is taken by card monthly in advance. Your membership runs in monthly periods starting on the date you joined — so if you join on the 18th, each period runs from the 18th to the 17th, and that is when payment is taken.
-
[Price lock: if you join at the launch price, that price stays the same for as long as your membership runs without a break. If you cancel and rejoin later, you pay the price current at that time.]
-
We may change our prices. If we change the price you pay, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
-
If a payment fails we will try again. If it still fails, we may pause your access until it is sorted.
Â
Â
Â
6. Free taster week
If you take a free taster week:
Â
-
You get full access for 7 days at no cost.
-
You can cancel at any point during the week under "My Subscriptions" in your account, or by emailing izclarke@followthescience.co.uk, and you will not be charged.
-
If you do not cancel, your paid membership starts automatically when the week ends and your first payment is taken. We will email you a reminder two days beforehand.
-
The taster week is available once per student.
Â
Â
Â
7. Renewal and cancellation
Your membership renews automatically each month until you cancel.
Â
You can cancel at any time. Cancel under "My Subscriptions" in your account, or email izclarke@followthescience.co.uk and we will do it. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
Â
There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
Â
You also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of joining, and separately we offer a 30-day money-back promise on your first payment. Both are explained in our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Where we refund the period you are currently in, your access to the members' area ends at that point.
Â
Â
Â
8. Your account
-
Your login is for one household — the member and their immediate family.
-
Do not share your login details with anyone outside your household, and do not post them anywhere.
-
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it.
Â
If we see an account being used by several households, we will email you a warning first and give you a chance to explain. If it continues, we may close the account. If we do, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
Â
Â
Â
9. Our content
Everything inside the membership — videos, notes, books, worked solutions, practice questions, slides and recordings — belongs to Follow The Science and is protected by copyright.
Â
While you are a member you may use it for your own or your child's revision. You may print or save materials for that purpose.
Â
You may not:
Â
-
Copy, upload, share or sell any of it
-
Post it on social media, file-sharing sites, or revision forums
-
Record or screen-capture live sessions
-
Use it to teach or tutor other people commercially
Â
When your membership ends, your access to the content ends. Anything you legitimately downloaded while a member is yours to keep for personal revision use.
Â
Â
Â
10. Live sessions
To keep sessions useful for everyone:
Â
-
Be civil to Iz and to other students.
-
Do not disrupt sessions, spam the chat, or share anything offensive.
-
Students take part by typing. Cameras and microphones stay off, and sessions are set up so that student cameras, microphones and the participant list are not captured in recordings. Recordings are of the teaching material and the teacher.
-
Please do not type anything into the chat you would not want other members to see.
Â
We may remove anyone from a session who is disrupting it, and in serious or repeated cases close their membership, refunding the unused part of the period paid for.
Â
Â
Â
11. What we do and do not promise
We will provide the membership with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires.
Â
We do not guarantee any particular grade, exam result or improvement. What a student gets out of it depends on the work they put in. Physics exams are set and marked by exam boards, not by us.
Â
We are not responsible for problems caused by your own internet connection or device, or by third-party platforms being unavailable.
Â
Â
Â
12. Changing or ending the membership
We may improve or change what is included, as long as the membership stays broadly what you signed up for. If we make a significant change that reduces what you get, we will tell you and you can cancel and be refunded for any period you have paid for and not received.
Â
We may close your membership if you seriously break these terms — in particular by sharing your login, copying our content, or being abusive. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first, and we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
Â
If we ever stop running the membership altogether, we will give you notice and refund any period you have paid for but not received.
Â
Â
Â
13. If something goes wrong
Please email izclarke@followthescience.co.uk first. Most problems are quick to fix and we would rather know. We aim to reply within [2] working days.
Â
If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you can take it to an alternative dispute resolution provider. [We are not currently a member of an ADR scheme, but approved providers are listed by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute at ctsi.org.uk.] Free advice is available from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133.
Â
We are responsible for loss you suffer as a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months.
Â
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Â
Â
Â
14. General
-
These terms are personal to you and cannot be transferred to someone else.
-
If any part of these terms turns out not to be enforceable, the rest still applies.
-
We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the new version here and email members about significant changes.
-
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
